Gradience drop new single “White Noise” ahead of debut album

Danish metalcore act Gradience have released a new single and video “White Noise” from their upcoming debut full-length “Anomaly”. The album will be released September 4 via Metal Blade Records.

Gradience formed from an unlikely meeting. Guitarist Jakob Lærke Harris and vocalist Gavin Mistry connected at a Copenhagen show in 2022. Harris came from a visual arts and pop-adjacent music background, while Mistry had built his career across hip-hop projects. Together, they set out to merge blackened death metal and trap-rap into something neither had explored before.

Mistry handles all lyrics on the record. His writing draws from personal experience as an immigrant in Denmark, covering themes of isolation, confrontation, and self-reflection. Song titles including “Vermin”, “Agony”, “Blame Me”, and “Deathwish” map the album’s emotional territory. The rhythm section features drummer Frederik Kjelstrup Hansen and bassist Patrick Petersen.

“White Noise” serves as the latest preview of the album. Mistry describes it as one of the more experimental and unpredictable tracks on the record, with lyrics reflecting the tension between his confrontational and introverted sides.

“Anomaly” arrives on CD, LP, and digital formats. Pre-orders are live here.
