Megan Thee Stallion, a diamond-certified rapper and actress, has previously worked with Spiritbox and Nickelback in the metal and rock genres, as per theprp. Additionally, she already expressed a like for early aughts nu metal by using Static-X‘s “Cold” as the soundtrack for one of her videos. Similar music may be heard in her most recent video, which features Deftones‘ 4x platinum 2000 hit “Change (In The House Of Flies)” as the soundtrack. Naturally, Megan Thee Stallion was invited by Deftones to perform at the 2019 “Dia de los Deftones” festival. But according to a fan who commented on Megan‘s most recent post, the nu metal-heavy “Queen of the Damned” soundtrack featured both the Deftones song and Static-X’s “Cold.” “I just know she loves the queen of the damned soundtrack too,” a fan remarked. “DO” was Megan‘s straight response.
