At the “American Music Awards” ceremony on May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, fans of metal and harder music had little to celebrate, as per theprp. Even though there were numerous promising nominees, including Linkin Park, Deftones, and Sleep Token, Twenty One Pilots and Sombr emerged victorious at the ceremony.
Despite failing, Sleep Token‘s most recent album, “Even In Arcadia,” made chart history in 2025 and was followed by an extravagant round of stadium touring. Following the release of their tenth studio album, “Private Music,” which debuted at number five on the Billboard 200, Deftones had a stellar year touring arenas. For their part, Linkin Park kept touring stadiums and arenas with their return album “From Zero” and its deluxe edition, which was released in late 2024. Interestingly, tonight’s events were similar to this year’s GRAMMY Awards, where all three performers ultimately lost.
