The album “Eros” by Deftones and demos of “Ohms” have surfaced online

Fans of Deftones have had a crazy day due to the suspected leaks of songs from their long-shelved 2008 album “Eros” and demos from their ninth studio album “Ohms,” which include an unreleased b-side, as per theprp. The leaks have been extensively discussed in the band’s fan communities. Eleven songs, including the previously released “Smile,” that are purportedly from the “Eros” sessions have been discreetly posted on a message board. After Chi Cheng, the band’s bassist and vocalist, was involved in a serious vehicle accident in 2008, the album was cancelled. He would eventually pass away in 2013 as a result of the injuries he received in that tragedy. All of the song titles on this purported leak seem to be working titles.

  • Destiny
  • Brenda
  • Melanie
  • Smile
  • Margot
  • Candy
  • Sable
  • Electra
  • Trempest
  • Diamond
  • Briana

Chino Moreno, the guitarist and singer for the Deftones, stated last year that the album was mostly incomplete, implying that this alleged leak would contain demo recordings. Additionally, he conveyed the band’s desire to keep the album on hold. The demo sessions for “Ohms,” which include an unreleased song called “Sensations,” are also noteworthy now apparently circulating. If it’s authentic and not an AI-assisted hoax, copies of that content have already started making the rounds on YouTube and other websites. The band has not yet addressed the disclosures in public.
