The official lyric video for the new solo track “Run” by Nightwish singer Floor Jansen has been made public. After Floor’s debut album, “Paragon,” was released in March 2023, the song, which is available here, is the first taste of her new solo music. The album featured a variety of pop-infused songs and poignant ballads influenced by the sounds of the singer’s career, showcasing her remarkable vocal range and powerful voice.
To me, ‘Run’ is about no longer making yourself smaller to fit into a shape that was never yours. It’s about taking off the mask, trusting your own movement, and daring to be seen that way. Musically, it feels like the start of something new. A little heavier, a little more direct, but still honest, still melodic, still completely me.
