Corey Taylor has recently modified his mask for Slipknot’s shows

The vocalist of the multi-platinum masked metal band Slipknot, Corey Taylor, has made a minor change to his most recent attire. The celebrated Iowa band debuted a new line of masks and jumpsuits earlier this year, which was a major tie-in to their current 25th-anniversary tour of their two-time multi-platinum 1999 self-titled album. Although the dreadlock-adorned monstrosity that Taylor wore throughout the self-titled album cycle is clearly reminiscent of his most recent mask, it appears that he has altered it by adding red LED eyes. In São Paulo, Brazil, on October 19, the Allianz Parque hosted the “Knotfest Brasil,” which appears to have been the inspiration for the mask unveiling. But it doesn’t seem like the effect was used all the way through the performance. The band also deviated from their self-titled album performances throughout that set, performing a variety of songs from across their discography. The band will perform again at the same location, most likely using the more conventional 25th-anniversary set they have been playing lately.
