Sid Wilson is back in the studio with Rome Fortune

It appears that former Slipknot turntablist Sid Wilson has recently returned to the studio, as per theprp. Wilson started Vomit Face Records in October of last year. On August 27, Wilson and rapper Rome Fortune co-shared a fresh social media post that seems to support Wilson’s previously claimed label. The two are shown in the studio together in that photo, which has the caption “V0mit Face.”

Des Moines, Iowa, is where Wilson was born. His parents are from England. In addition to touring as DJ Starscream—a moniker inspired by the same-named Transformers character—he was a member of the American band Slipknot. He has Transformer tattoos and is a lover of the Transformers franchise. Wilson’s musical contributions to Slipknot included background noises and effects, sound effects, scratching, and eerie noises. He insisted on being the number zero when each band member was given a number because it represented filth. In the early days of Slipknot, he was also known for stage diving. In 2008, he leaped 10 feet from the stage and fractured both of his heels.

Wilson is signed to the Japanese record label N2O Records and has gained popularity as a jungle musician in Japan under the stage name DJ Starscream. The song “HAKAI (Destroy),” which he co-wrote with Hiroshi Kyono of The Mad Capsule Markets, was released on “The Songs for Death Note the movie the Last name Tribute”. A remix of the song was also included on the 2008 album “Hakai” and the Wagdug Futuristic Unity mini-album “Nu Riot.” He is the lead vocalist of his solo band SID, which went on tour in August 2010. On September 13, 2011, the band’s first album, “SID”, was made available for digital download. He performed as a support act for Vamps at their 2013 performances in New York and Los Angeles.
