Slipknot release new single with official video “Arsenal”

Slipknot, a multi-platinum masked metal band, has resumed operations after DJ Sid Wilson, a key member, was recently fired, as per theprp. The group recently unintentionally released a music video for their brand-new song, “Arsenal.” The director was M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan, the band’s drummer. That song is their first composition since adding former Sepultura drummer Eloy Casagrande to the group. Additionally, it marks the beginning of a new chapter in the band’s history. After fulfilling their contractual duties to their long-time label home, Roadrunner Records, with their most recent album, “The End, So Far,” the band has now started a new label endeavour. That project, (sic)est Records, in collaboration with Roadrunner and Atlantic, is responsible for the release of this song.

Tracking for the band’s eighth studio album is still ongoing, according to a message made online earlier this week by guitarist Jim Root. According to earlier studio sources, Matt Wallace (Faith No More, Mushroomhead) is in charge of those sessions.

Percussionist Shawn Crahan, singer Anders Colsefni, and bassist Paul Grey founded the American heavy metal group Slipknot in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995. From 1999 until Gray’s passing in 2010, the band had nine members—Crahan, Grey, Joey Jordison, Craig Jones, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn, and Jim Root—after a number of lineup changes in its early years. Slipknot is well-known for their eye-catching appearance, combative musical style, and exuberant, wild live performances. “Mate. Kill. Feed. Repeat.”, the band’s first demo record was a failure, but once their first self-titled studio album, “Slipknot”, was released in 1999, they quickly became well-known worldwide.

Despite having a darker and more violent tone, the band’s 2001 follow-up studio album, “Iowa”, increased their popularity.
