The Pretty Reckless release official visualizer for new single “Dear God”

Author Benedetta Baldin - 22.5.2026

Dear God” is the title track of The Pretty Recklesss upcoming fifth studio album, which will be released by Fearless Records on June 26, as per Blabbermouth. Frontwoman Taylor Momsen’s powerful vocals lead The Pretty Reckless into a melancholic and emotionally charged sound with the “Dear God” title track. The song and album’s themes of longing to escape “hell” for something better are emphasised by the song’s gradual build-up to an intense guitar solo that allows the instrumentation to shine.

‘Dear God’ is desperation set to music. When life gets that physical, that brutal, you leave your body and start begging something bigger than yourself to pull you out. That space between heaven and hell isn’t a metaphor. It’s somewhere you actually live.

The band’s previous single, “When I Wake Up,” debuted at No. 10 on the Mediabase Active Rock chart and is currently at No. 16 on Billboard Mainstream Rock. The album’s lead single, “For I Am Death,” became The Pretty Reckless’s eighth Mainstream Rock Radio No. 1. Last month, the band released the intense, gritty, and edgy single “Love Me.” “Dear God” is one of the band’s most unvarnished and brutal releases to date, leaning farther into vulnerability and creative freedom. The record, which was written with diaristic honesty, depicts The Pretty Reckless at their most unvarnished.
