Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless) hospitalized after spider bite – band announces new single out this week
In 2024, Taylor Momsen, the guitarist and singer of The Pretty Reckless, was able to mostly ignore a bat bite that happened onstage during her band’s opening performance for hard rock giants AC/DC in Seville, Spain, as per theprp. In a terrible turn of events, she recently came dangerously close to a spider while touring with the Australian legends, this time in Mexico City last week. In contrast to the bat bite, this most recent experience has put her fortitude to the test. Momsen posted video of herself getting medical attention right after the venomous spider stung her leg on April 8. Momsen posted about the ugly rash that developed on her calf after being bitten yesterday, April 14.

But according to a follow-up post published today, Momsen’s symptoms from the bite were worse than anticipated yesterday, and she spent the night in the hospital as a result. The Pretty Reckless‘ ability to perform with AC/DC tonight at the GNP Seguros in Mexico City has not yet been announced as of the time of publication.
The band has also revealed that they will release a new single titled “Love Me” this upcoming Friday.
