The Pretty Reckless release bonus version of “About You” featuring Foo Fighters

The bonus version of “About You” from The Pretty Reckless’s fifth studio album, “Dear God,” has been published. Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters plays drums, guitar, and backup vocals in the new version, while Pat Smear plays guitar. The release comes after a historic campaign for “Dear God,” one of 2026’s most influential rock records. With the band’s seventh No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart—the most by any female-led group in the chart’s history—”When I Wake Up” continued The Pretty Reckless’s record-breaking run. The Pretty Reckless embrace vulnerability, intensity, and creative freedom in their fifth studio album, which was produced by Taylor Momsen, Ben Phillips, and Jonathan Wyman. It is one of the band’s most raw albums to date.

‘About You’ is one of my favorite songs on the record, so I wanted to do something special. I called Dave and Pat and asked them if they’d lend their magic to it. It was an amazing time in the studio making music, there’s nothing better than jamming with friends. I couldn’t be happier with the result. – Taylor Momsen
