Spain’s Mad Cool Festival has announced its first wave of bands for the 2024 edition. Pearl Jam, Bring Me The Horizon, The Smashing Pumpkins, Sum 41 and Avril Lavigne will headline on different days alongside the likes of Dua Lipa and Janelle Monáe.
The festival will take place from July 10-13, 2024 at the Iberdrola Music venue in Madrid. General tickets go on sale December 15 here.
In addition to the main acts, the line-up of the Madrid festival features a host of other well-known bands and musicians such as Garbage, Greta Van Fleet, Keane, Michael Kiwanuka, Jessie Ware, Black Pumas, Tom Morello, Rels B, Bomba Estéreo, Mando Diao, Alvvays, The Gaslight Anthem, Arlo Parks, The Breeders and more.
As well as four full days of music, Mad Cool organizers say they’ve made a number of changes for 2024, including reducing the number of stages from eight to six and lowering the capacity, which they say will “improve the flow of the festival and reduce scheduling conflicts and artist overlaps”. There will also be more drinking water stations, toilets, shaded areas and other efforts to improve the experience.
