My Chemical Romance are facing legal action over costumes worn by dancers during the band’s “The Black Parade” performances at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
According to legal documents reviewed by TheWrap, Pro Silver Star Ltd., which owns the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders brand, has sought a temporary restraining order and injunction. The company argues that costumes worn by performers onstage closely resemble the cheerleaders’ distinctive uniforms.
The dispute centres on a theatrical sequence at the band’s October 21, 2026 concert. Dancers appeared in cheerleader-style outfits before taking part in a fictional armed confrontation. Pro Silver Star alleges that the imagery could lead audiences to believe the real Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders were involved, harming the brand’s reputation.
According to the filing, the company previously asked the band to stop using the disputed costumes. It says the request was rejected. The reported court action also seeks unspecified financial damages.
The company maintains that it is objecting specifically to the use of the allegedly identifiable uniforms, rather than trying to dictate the band’s songs, storyline or political message.
These are allegations and requests made by the claimant, not findings by a court. At the time of writing, the sources reviewed did not establish that an injunction had been granted or that My Chemical Romance had issued a public response to the filing.
