Metallica release “Welcome Home (Sanitarium)” (Live at Sphere, October 3, 2026)

Metallica have released official live footage of “Welcome Home (Sanitarium),” filmed during the band’s Life Burns Faster residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas on October 3, 2026.

The track originally appeared on the band’s 1986 album “Master of Puppets.” The newly shared video gives fans who have not been able to attend the Sphere shows a chance to see the performance, complete with the venue’s expansive, immersive visuals.

The October 3 concert was the second show of the residency. Its set also included “Devil’s Dance,” played live for the first time since 2008, and “The Outlaw Torn,” which returned to the set for the first time since 2019.
