Swedish prog metal band Evergrey, fronted by guitarist/vocalist Tom Englund, celebrated their 30th anniversary last year with a compilation and now they are ready to release their new album “Theories of Emptiness”, out June 7th via Napalm Records.
Their 14th album is once again co-produced by Englund and drummer Jonas Ekdahl. The main concept of the record is how people can deal with different types of emptiness, from losing a loved one to feeling alone in this world. The record also features some special guests such as vocalist Jonas Renkse from Katatonia, Tom’s daughter Selina Englund and a song with vocals from the band’s fans.
Promoting the new album, Chaoszine spoke with Englund in a video call to talk about Evergrey‘s three decades, details of the upcoming album, visual identity and much more.
