Brazilian death metal band Crypta has been building a strong fan base every day. Formed by bassist Fernanda Lira and drummer Luana Dametto (both former Nervosa) in 2019, the group released its debut in 2021, “Echoes of the Soul”, being well received by international press and audience.
Since the end of the pandemic, the Brazilian quartet has spent the last year on a world tour playing clubs and summer festivals such as Wacken, Summer Breeze and Obscene Extreme, but as the end of this current cycle is ending, in August they are already releasing their second album “Shades of Sorrow”, again via Napalm Records.
Chaoszine talked with drummer Luana about the current moment of the band, life on the road, legacy of Brazilian metal drummers, her work as a graphic designer in the band and being an influence on girls.
