Depeche Mode: Tomorrow’s show in Finland’s capital Helsinki cancelled

Author Stefanie Nysand - 7.8.2023

Depeche Mode have cancelled their show in Finland’s capital Helsinki at short notice, due to “forecasted severe weather conditions”. The only Finland date of their ongoing Memento Mori world tour should have taken place tomorrow (8 August 2023) at Kaisaniemi park:

“To our fans in Helsinki – Due to forecasted severe weather conditions and the threat of thunderstorms and high winds, we are being forced to cancel tomorrow’s show at Kaisaniemi Park. The health and safety of our fans, crew, and everyone working at the site are our number one priority, and we have been advised by Tukes (the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency) and the local fire department that it could be unsafe to proceed given the forecasted weather conditions. Fans can return their purchased tickets to the point of purchase (Ticketmaster) by October 7, 2023. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope everyone stays safe.” – Depeche Mode

On the website of Live Nation Finland, it is stated that an alternative date will not be arranged.
