Billy Corgan, president of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and frontman of the Grammy Award-winning famous rock band The Smashing Pumpkins, has announced a new TV agreement that ushers in a revolutionary new era for the revered and significant wrestling organization, as per Blabbermouth. Their main show, “NWA Powerrr,” will make its premiere on Sinclair’s Comet TV on May 1 and May 2. A second, brand-new episode airs on Saturday, May 2 at 4 p.m. The premiere weekend starts on Friday, May 1 in prime time at 10 p.m. Fans will get numerous chances to watch since both episodes will be aired later that evening at 10:30 and 11:30 p.m.
For the first time in more than 30 years, fans nationwide can now watch wrestling on over-the-air broadcast television thanks to this new era on Comet, which breaks through the clutter of an oversaturated streaming market. Driven by Signet/Data One piece of technology, NWA’s new chapter on Comet, transforms the way NWA wrestlers interact with their audience while providing free entertainment for wrestling fans. The Crockett Cup Tag Team Tournament, which begins on Monday, May 4 and culminates in a four-episode special event, marks the beginning of NWA’s new broadcast chapter. “NWA Powerrr” features incredible athletes performing classic wrestling action, captivating story arcs, and high-stakes competition rooted in NWA heritage. After the inaugural weekend, the show will air weekly on Saturdays with a new episode at 4 p.m. and an encore at midnight.
