The official web premiere of Between The Buried And Me‘s rendition of The Smashing Pumpkins’ song “Jellybelly” has been released, as per theprp. The cover from “Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness” is taken from the upcoming “Sending Hearts To All My Dearies – A Tribute To The Smashing Pumpkins” tribute album, which Sumerian Records will release digitally on August 14 and on vinyl on October 16. Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins supported the covers compilation, which will include performances of the well-known alternative rock group by Tame Impala, Carpenter Brut, Palaye Royale, Nita Strauss, and many others.

The American progressive metal group Between the Buried and Me is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and is frequently shortened to BTBAM. Tommy Giles Rogers Jr. (lead vocals, keyboards), Paul Waggoner (guitar, backing vocals), Dan Briggs (bass, keyboards), and Blake Richardson (drums) make up the band, which was founded in 2000. Before signing with Metal Blade in 2011, Between the Buried and Me released their first extended play, “The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues”, and its full-length follow-up. Their first album, of the same name, was released through Lifeforce Records in 2002. After that, they switched to Victory Records for further releases. Next year is “Parallax II: Future Sequence”.
“Coma Ecliptic”, their seventh studio album, was released in July 2015. “Automata I” and “II”, their eighth and ninth albums, were released in 2018. August 2021 saw the release of their tenth album, “Colours II” (a sequel to Colours from 2007), and September 2025 saw the release of their eleventh studio album, “The Blue Nowhere”.
