Maynard James Keenan, who sings in progressive metal band Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifier manages to find time to do other stuff outside of music, including making wine and practising Brazilian jiu jitsu.

Keenan now has achieved a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Keenan’s teacher, Chief Limao, posted a picture of his student with the belt on social media, with the caption “a true warrior”.

The brown belt is the second highest belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu that can normally be achieved. Usually the highest belt is a black belt, but there are also red-black, red-white and red and blue-black belts, for example.
