Members of Tool and Alice In Chains are giving one fan the opportunity to join them on the lanes at the upcoming Bowl For Ronnie charity event in California. The place on their team is being auctioned online to raise money for the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund.

Tool’s Adam Jones, Justin Chancellor and Danny Carey have assembled a team with Alice In Chains‘ Jerry Cantrell and Mike Inez for the event, which takes place on November 12, 2026 at PINZ Bowling Center in Studio City, Los Angeles. The sixth team position is reserved for the auction winner.

A fundraising competition with an all-star lineup

The auction is being conducted through the cancer fund’s official eBay listing. Bidding is currently scheduled to close on November 2 at approximately 7 p.m. Pacific time. The listing indicates an 18-and-over restriction, and prospective bidders should check the full terms: travel arrangements are not included.

The unusual offer adds another high-profile lineup to the annual benefit. Radio host Eddie Trunk’s competing team includes Rage Against The Machine‘s Tom Morello, Black Sabbath‘s Geezer Butler, Lita Ford and guitarist Brent Woods, along with the winner of a separate auction.

The event supports the Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund, founded in memory of vocalist Ronnie James Dio. Its broader mission involves cancer prevention, research and education. The fundraiser offers a rare fan experience, but the winning bid and final proceeds will not be known until the auction concludes.

Visit the auction listing for current bidding and eligibility details.
