Legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi is scheduled to release his latest solo album, “From The Dark,” on Friday, October 23, as per Blabbermouth. Prior to the official release, fans will have the opportunity to exclusively listen to his first solo album in 21 years at a series of listening events hosted at prominent rock and metal bars in major cities worldwide on Thursday, October 22.
In addition to experiencing the new album, attendees will have access to exclusive giveaways, including limited-edition merchandise and copies of the album. All fans are welcome to participate, and it is recommended to check the venue social media channels for specific timings and event details.
“From The Dark” will be available in several deluxe editions on vinyl and CD.
The double-LP edition will be released in four different colours, available from various retailers. Pressed at 45 rpm on double vinyl to ensure optimal dynamic range, the deluxe fold-out sleeve is made from high-quality black card and features a die-cut in the shape of Tony’s signature cross. Beneath this lies dark, richly detailed artwork that visually accompanies the journey through the album: part of the illustration remains visible when the inner sleeve is inserted, whilst the full image is revealed when it is removed.
An exclusive Amazon CD edition will also be available, featuring the same die-cut cover, as well as a deluxe CD mediabook edition with a 32-page booklet and two bonus tracks.
