Ozzfest confirms its comeback – discover where!

The long-awaited return of Ozzfest is officially taking shape. Organizers have confirmed that the influential heavy metal festival will stage three one-day events in 2027, visiting the United Kingdom, the United States and Mexico for the first time.

The announcement follows a countdown launched earlier this week and confirms the first Ozzfest editions since 2018. The revived festival will also be the first held following the death of co-founder Ozzy Osbourne in July 2025.

Ozzfest 2027 dates and venues confirmed

The three shows are scheduled as follows:

  • July 10, 2027 – The National Bowl, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom
  • September 11, 2027 – Glen Helen Amphitheater, San Bernardino, California, United States
  • September 18, 2027 – Estadio GNP Seguros, Mexico City, Mexico

The Mexico City concert marks the festival’s first visit to Mexico, while the California event returns to the region where Ozzfest originally launched in 1996.

UK concert moves from Birmingham to Milton Keynes

The newly confirmed UK venue represents a change from earlier plans. Organizers had previously indicated that Ozzfest would return to Villa Park in Birmingham, the stadium that hosted Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s final concert, “Back To The Beginning”, in July 2025.

The 2027 UK edition will instead take place at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes. According to Ticketmaster’s announcement, construction work at Villa Park prompted the change. The National Bowl has its own history with the festival, having hosted UK editions in 1998 and 2001.

Sharon Osbourne to curate the lineups

The three 2027 events are being promoted by Live Nation, with Sharon Osbourne overseeing the artist lineups. No performers or headliners have been officially announced yet, although the full bills are expected to be revealed in the coming months.

“Ozzfest will always remain an important part of Ozzy’s legacy,” Sharon Osbourne said in the announcement.

The festival began in 1996 as a platform for established heavy metal acts and emerging artists, later helping introduce groups such as Slipknot, System Of A Down and Disturbed to wider audiences. Its most recent edition took place on New Year’s Eve 2018 in California.

The return is especially significant after Ozzy Osbourne’s death, with his family continuing the event as a celebration of his contribution to heavy music.

Tickets available from November 6

Early Bat tickets for the three shows are scheduled to become available on Friday, November 6, at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can follow further lineup and ticket announcements through the official Ozzfest website.
