Sharon Osbourne has revealed that the lineup for the returning Ozzfest is only about halfway booked, even as tickets for the festival’s three 2027 events are set to go on sale. In a new interview, she also confirmed that two unreleased songs recorded by Ozzy Osbourne with producer Andrew Watt are intended for the forthcoming film about the late singer’s life.
The updates came after organizers announced that Ozzfest will return next year with shows in the United Kingdom, United States and Mexico. No performers have been officially announced yet, despite previous indications that a headliner had already been secured.
Speaking with Hits Daily Double, Sharon said roughly 50 percent of the lineup has been confirmed. Asked whether the same artists would appear at all three events, she said she hoped so, explaining that keeping the bills consistent would make organizing the festival easier.
The three confirmed dates are July 10 at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes, England; September 11 at Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California; and September 18 at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City, Mexico.
Early Bat tickets are scheduled to go on sale on November 6 at 10 a.m. local time for each event. The festival has said that full lineups will be revealed in the coming months.
The 2027 shows will mark the first in-person Ozzfest events since 2018 and the first since Ozzy Osbourne’s death in 2025. Sharon described the comeback as a way to preserve her husband’s legacy for their grandchildren and the fans who continue to celebrate his music.
Sharon also offered an update on previously unheard music by Ozzy Osbourne. She said the singer recorded two songs with producer Andrew Watt specifically for the film project based on Ozzy and Sharon’s relationship. Watt had recently referred to the recordings, recalling that he and Ozzy had revisited them ahead of the 2025 “Back To The Beginning” farewell concert.
The biographical film is being developed with Sony Pictures, although Sharon acknowledged that the screenplay has been difficult to finalize. According to her, the project has reached its fourth script as the writers work to capture Ozzy’s personality and voice.
The story is expected to focus on the years from 1978 to 1996, covering the end of Ozzy’s original tenure in Black Sabbath, the start of his solo career and the creation of Ozzfest. No release date for the film or its accompanying songs has been announced.
The interview also touched on unreleased Black Sabbath recordings that Sharon says went missing years ago. She alleged that the family has identified a person who possesses the tapes, including studio and live material, and claimed that sworn statements support their account. The allegations have not been independently established, and she did not announce any recovery or release plans for the recordings.
For now, the immediate focus is the relaunch of Ozzfest. Although the three cities and venues are confirmed, fans will have to wait for further announcements to learn which bands will take part.
