The long-awaited return of Ozzfest is getting closer to becoming a reality. Organizers have launched an official countdown timer ahead of a new announcement concerning the festival’s 2027 comeback.
The countdown appeared on the festival’s official website and social media channels on November 3 and is scheduled to reach zero on Thursday, November 5, at 10 a.m. Eastern Time (4 p.m. in Finland).
Although the organizers have not revealed exactly what will be announced, fans are eagerly awaiting further information about the lineup, dates and ticket sales.
The revival of Ozzfest has been taking shape throughout 2026, with Sharon Osbourne and her son Jack Osbourne sharing details about their plans to bring back the influential metal festival.
The UK edition has already been confirmed for Villa Park in Birmingham, the venue that hosted the historic Back To The Beginning farewell concert by Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath in July 2025.
Organizers have also confirmed that Ozzfest will return to the United States in 2027, although the American location and exact dates have yet to be announced.
Jack Osbourne previously indicated that the revived festival would focus on single-day events rather than a traditional multi-day format.
Originally launched in 1996 by Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Ozzfest became one of heavy metal’s most influential touring festivals, helping introduce emerging bands to much larger audiences.
Throughout its history, the event provided an important platform for acts including Slipknot, System Of A Down and Disturbed.
The festival was last held in 2018, making its planned 2027 return particularly significant for longtime fans.
Sharon Osbourne has previously emphasized her intention to preserve the festival’s tradition of supporting younger artists while potentially introducing a broader range of musical styles.
The upcoming announcement will be another important step in bringing Ozzfest back following Ozzy Osbourne’s death in July 2025.
Fans can follow the countdown through the festival’s official website and social media accounts.
