Thy Art Is Murder don’t waste time – Jerry Grimefeld is already recording vocals for new material!
Jerry Grimefeld, the newest frontman for Australian deathcore band Thy Art Is Murder, is reportedly on his way to the New Jersey studio to record some new music, as per theprp. Last month, the latter was unexpectedly revealed as the band’s new leader, taking Tyler Miller’s place. Grimefeld, who has his own career as a rapper, had previously appeared in Vengeance and Honest Crooks. Grimefeld disclosed that the band was flying him to New Jersey to put down vocals in the video below, which Thy Art Is Murder posted on social media on August 8. Given that the band still has several gigs scheduled for their ongoing European tour, it’s debatable if this was a fresh footage.
Since Thy Art Is Murder has a long history of collaborating with GRAMMY Award-winning producer Will Putney, who is headquartered in New Jersey, there has already been conjecture that Putney will be behind the boards of these new tracks once more.

Vocalist Brendan van Ryn, guitarists Gary Markowski and Sean Delander, bassist Josh King, and drummer Lee Stanton made comprised the group Thy Art Is Murder when it was first formed in 2006 in the Blacktown neighbourhood of Western Sydney. At the time, the majority of members were about 15 years old. They started performing at local events after releasing their first demo, the three-track “This Hole Isn’t Deep Enough for the Twelve of You”, in 2007. Due to their extremely passionate performances, they soon developed a devoted following among Western Sydney’s local deathcore fans and went on to independently tour Australia’s east coast.
