The Chaos & Carnage tour sees a change in lineup as Thy Art Is Murder pull out due to medical reasons

Author Benedetta Baldin - 1.5.2026

Due to a medical issue, Australian deathcore band Thy Art Is Murder was forced to forfeit their lead role on this year’s “Chaos And Carnage Tour”, as per theprp. Their drummer Jesse Beahler was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and underwent emergency surgery today, April 30, as they disclosed on social media. As a result, he is unable to perform or travel. Carnifex and Bodysnatcher will now co-headline the tour, which also includes 200 Stab Wounds, Ingested, Gates To Hell, and Bodybox, following Thy Art is Murder‘s decision to withdraw from it.

Hi folks,

As you may have seen, we have had to withdraw from the @chaosandcarnagetour We know how much this tour meant to a lot of you and we don’t take that lightly.

On the way to the airport, to fly to the states for rehearsals, Jesse began experiencing severe abdominal pain. He was taken to urgent care and referred immediately to the ER, where he was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and underwent emergency surgery. In all of this, the lucky part is it hit at the beginning of our 20 hour journey and not somewhere over the Pacific.

Jesse came through his surgery well and is recovering, but has been medically advised to not fly or perform for six weeks. We are incredibly grateful to the medical teams responsible for his diagnosis and care.

Jesse’s focus now is making a full recovery so he’s ready to hit the studio with us through June and July.

Chaos + Carnage rolls on with an absolutely stacked lineup. We’re bummed to be missing out on a great tour with our brothers in @carnifex and @bodysnatcherfl along with the incredible bands we have yet to tour with and meet – 200 Stab Wounds, Ingested, Gates To Hell and Bodybox. Get to these shows, support the bands and support the tour.

The trek organisers released the following statement about the lineup change.

Due to a sudden medical emergency involving their drummer requiring emergency surgery, Thy Art Is Murder will unfortunately no longer be appearing on this year’s Chaos & Carnage tour. We were informed this week that recovery will take several weeks, which will prevent the band from taking part in the tour. We wish Jesse Beahler a full and healthy recovery.

That said, Chaos & Carnage continues on with one of the heaviest lineups of the year, featuring Carnifex , Bodysnatcher, 200 Stab Wounds, Ingested, Gates to Hell, and Bodybox
