As we reported earlier today, Joan Jett And The Blackhearts will replace Friday’s headliner Yungblud at Tons Of Rock 2026 at short notice. Now, there is another change in the festival’s line-up for Friday:
“The Hellacopters replace Tom Morello. The Hellacopters are heading to Tons of Rock, joining this year’s lineup after Tom Morello has unfortunately been forced to withdraw from the festival. The cancellation is due to family reasons. In a message to his fans, Morello wrote: ‘Dear friends, fans and comrades, my dear mom, Mary Morello is back in the hospital and I’m headed home to help look after her. Rocking the UK & Europe with you all this summer has been incredible and I cant wait to be back with you and continue this movement that we started. With much love, unity and power.’ The Hellacopters are one of Scandinavia’s most influential rock bands. With their energetic blend of hard rock, garage rock and classic rock ‘n’ roll, they’ve delivered acclaimed albums, sold-out shows and unforgettable festival performances for decades. Festivalgoers at Ekebergsletta can look forward to a set packed with big songs, high energy and a band renowned for delivering when it matters most. ‘We have full understanding of Tom Morello’s situation and wish him and his family all the best. At the same time, we’re very happy to welcome The Hellacopters to Tons of Rock.
