On June 29, 1999, the exceptional band Slipknot from Des Moines, Iowa, USA, released their first “self-titled” album, laying the foundation for a phenomenal and unparalleled worldwide career. A perfect reason to throw a birthday metal-party with gloriously brutal sound and energy, celebrating the 25th anniversary in style with their fans.
As part of their “Here Comes The Pain”-Tour, the nine musicians stopped at the Quarterback Immobilien Arena near downtown Leipzig on December 9, 2024. Fans joined their idols for the birthday party, enjoying the rare treat of experiencing songs exclusively from the debut album performed live.
At 9:03 p.m. the arena went dark and the band, along with the “Maggots” embarked on a journey through time.
The crushing riffs, driving rhythms, Corey Taylor’s voice shifting between melody and growls, anarchy and chaos on stage, yet so much harmony in the music and the interplay of the musicians. What an incredible energy unleashed on stage, an energy that doesn’t stop at the audience. It’s a celebration of the finest metal, with the atmosphere – and the temperature in the venue – reaching a boiling point.
You have to experience Slipknot live! You have to expose yourself to the sheer force that hits you, forget time for a moment and simply become part of the musical anarchy!
Absolute finest metal madness!
„You got all my love, livin’ in your own hate
Drippin’ hole man, hard step, no fate
Show you nothin’, but I ain’t holdin’ back
Every damn word I say is a sneak attack
When I get my hands on you
Ain’t a f***g thing you can do
Get this ’cause you’re never gonna get me
I am the very disease you pretend to be”
