Argentinean rockers Sístole have shared a new song and music video, “Otro Giro“. Watch the Impluvium Producciones & Nico Vega-directed clip below.
“Otro Giro” was composed and produced by the band’s bassist, Fernando Raiz. Ernesto Aldaz handled mixing and mastering. The filming took place at Impluvium Producciones’ headquarters, a production company based in the city centre of Rosario, Argentina.
Fernando Raiz shares: “Otro Giro” is about how words are often just noise, distortion, a waste of time and energy, a damage to human relationships. The song proposes to turn the screw, to leave the noise aside, to return to the arena with more enthusiasm than before and to try something different. This also applies to the musical and relational aspects of the band“.
The musician adds: “Stylistically, the bass riff was the trigger for the song, followed almost spontaneously by the vocal verse and finally the chorus. The ‘producer/composer’s handbook’ would say that it lacks a C-part, a variation, but we liked it that way, direct and powerful. The song didn’t ask for anything else”.
“Otro Giro” begins with Fernando Raiz distorting his bass a la Royal Blood. At the same time, drummer Elio ‘Pollo’ Chies sets the rhythm robustly and effectively, giving way to the powerful voice of frontman Diego ‘Pepe’ Robertazzo, which takes on a melodic and attractive nuance in the chorus.
