Lahti’s metal awakening: XXL Mössö Metalli kicks off with fierce energy 

The inaugural Mössö Metalli on 9th of November 2024 turned Lahden Messukeskus into a haven for metal fans who like their music loud and their venues cold. Möysän Musaklubi’s idea of a winter metal festival came to life with a lineup of Finland’s metal heavyweights: Korpiklaani, Lost Society, Mokoma, Stam1na, and Turmion Kätilöt. Each band took the stage as if warming the crowd through sheer volume, creating an atmosphere where you couldn’t tell if it was the amps or the adrenaline keeping everyone warm. 

With no flashy pyrotechnics, it was all about the music. The bands embraced their own styles, from Korpiklaani’s folk metal to the industrial edge of Turmion Kätilöt. Fans enjoyed the straightforward, unfiltered energy of Finnish metal and left hoping Mössö Metalli would become a regular part of the metal calendar.
