Well, here’s a news piece that I never thought I would write. Finnish bass player Jukkis Koskinen has announced that he has parted ways with Crownshift. He and the band both released statements today on social media.
With deep respect, we announce that Jukka Koskinen and Crownshift have parted ways. We are grateful for the time we shared together, proud of everything we accomplished, and we wish Jukka all the best in his future endeavours.
Our focus remains fully on the finalization of album number two, with many interesting things on the horizon, which we look forward to sharing more soon.
I have decided to leave Crownshift.
Heartfelt thanks to all the fans and people I met along the way during this chapter. Your support means everything to me.
Onwards!
Jukkis remains a band member of Nightwish and Wintersun. Additionally, he played bass for Amberian Dawn from 2010 to 2013, Cain’s Offering from 2009 to 2014, Dark Sarah in 2014, and Norther from 2000 until their breakup in 2012. He was first identified in May 2021 as Nightwish’s session bassist for their online shows and their Human II: Nature World Tour in 2021 and 2022. In August 2022, he became the band’s new regular bassist.
