In 2025 Carlo Knöpfel will no longer be Breakdown of Sanity’s vocalist

Cancer has sadly taken another gifted individual from the Swedish crust punk group Disfear, this time their longstanding drummer, Marcus Andersson, as per MetalInjection. Andersson succumbed to glioblastoma, a rapidly advancing andaggressive brain cancer, after battling it for four years. Our deepest sympathies to Andersson’s family, friends and loved ones. The band communicated Andersson’s death through a social media update on September 15. Regrettably, this marks not the first occasion Disfear has faced the loss of a member due to cancer.  Their original bassist, Henrik Frykman, died in 2011 following his own fight against the illness, while vocalist Tomas “Tompa” Lindberg, who was also part of At The Gates among several other bands, passed away last year after...
