Scottish blackened speed metal act Hellripper has released the digital double single “Let’s Get Drugs” / “Mainline”. The songs are cover versions of Seattle speed metal punks Zeke.
The pair first surfaced earlier this year as a Decibel Flexi Series exclusive, tied to the June 2026 issue of Decibel Magazine. Now McBain has made them available to a wider audience through streaming.
In a statement, McBain explained his long connection to the source material. “ZEKE has been a favourite band of mine for many years now, and I sure have gotten a lot of mileage out of that shirt of mine as a lot of people have pointed out! The influence they have had on the sound of Hellripper cannot be overstated, 100mph balls to the wall metalpunk with endless guitar solos? Count me in!”
The release lands right as Hellripper heads into a busy touring stretch. First come European dates, then the project’s first ever North American run in support of Havok. That trek kicks off October 21, 2026, and wraps November 20, 2026. It follows Hellripper’s latest album “Coronach”, which arrived March 27, 2026 via Century Media Records.
