Scottish blackened thrash metal act Hellripper have finally joined their first United States tour after visa delays prevented them from appearing at the opening shows.
Visa issues resolved
The band, led by James McBain, had originally been booked to support Havok alongside Slackjaw and Xoth throughout the run. However, administrative problems and embassy appointment delays kept the musicians from entering the country on schedule.
In an earlier statement, McBain explained that the group had applied well in advance and paid for premium processing, but could not obtain the necessary documentation in time.
The issues have now been resolved, allowing Hellripper to join the tour for its remaining dates beginning in early November. The itinerary includes Nashville, Asheville, Richmond, Baltimore, Boston, New York, Chicago and Denver.
The tour is scheduled to conclude on November 20 at the Gothic Theatre in Denver. It represents a significant milestone for Hellripper, whose fast-paced blend of black metal and thrash has built an international following.
The group thanked fans and fellow touring bands for their patience while the situation was being resolved.
