Hellripper’s visa delays disrupt the band’s American run

Scottish blackened thrash metal outfit Hellripper have been forced to miss the opening dates of their first US tour because their visas have not yet been approved. The band had been due to join Havok, Slackjaw and Xoth for a run that began on October 22.
In an update posted to the band’s official Instagram account, founder James McBain explained that the applications had been submitted well in advance with premium processing, but delays involving administration and embassy appointments had prevented the musicians from travelling as planned.
McBain apologised to fans and the other touring acts, explaining that the situation had become stressful and costly. He said the group still hopes to join the latter half of the tour, though no date for their arrival has been confirmed.
The remaining bands are proceeding with the scheduled shows. The itinerary runs through November 20 in Denver, with stops including Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas, New York and Chicago.
The band has asked fans to support the concerts even in their absence. This is a postponement of Hellripper‘s participation in the US dates, not an announcement that the entire package tour has been cancelled.
