Santi Martínez (El Kuelgue) shares new LP “Ni el principio ni el final”
Argentine pianist, vocalist, and composer Santi Martínez, known for his work with the acclaimed Buenos Aires-based band El Kuelgue, has unveiled his third solo album, “Ni el principio ni el final”. Listen to the single “Terciopelo” below.
“Ni el principio ni el final” consists of nine songs that engage with the tradition of Argentine rock while infusing it with a more modern and personal perspective. Pianos, guitars and synthesizers come together on an album that ranges from intimate moments to more electric ones, thus painting a picture of Santi’s world. A new personal chapter from El Kuelgue‘s keyboardist.
The album features Litto Nebbia on the song “Migas y Cenizas”. The cut “Terciopelo,” which opens the album, has a lyric video/visualizer directed and produced by No es Mala / Maximiliano Diaz and Braian Parker.
Throughout his solo career, Santi Martínez has collaborated on songs and recordings with artists such as Litto Nebbia, Rosario Ortega, Fernando Samalea, Leo García, Adriana Varela and Rosario Alfonso (Chile), amongst others.
To date, he has released three albums, several EPs and singles. At the same time, for more than two decades, he has been a member of El Kuelgue, a band with which he has built an extensive career performing on stages across Argentina and abroad. Between these two paths – the collective and the personal – “Ni el principio ni el final” finds Santi embarking on a new phase of his work.
