Former HIM drummer Gas Lipstick says he has been asked to join a Type O Negative cover band

As Mika Karppinen alias Gas Lipstick shares on his social media channels, he may soon be performing Type O Negative classics such as “Black No. 1 (Little Miss Scare-All)” and “My Girlfriend’s Girlfriend” live on stage:

“I’m beyond excited I got asked to join a Type O Negative cover band. I’ve always loved that hand. And drummer Johnny Kelly is a friend.”

Further details are yet to be announced. Gas Lipstick is best known as the former drummer of the Finnish gothic rock band HIM, having replaced their original drummer Juhana “Pätkä” Rantala and remaining with the band until 2015. He has also been involved with Kyyria, Flat Earth and Hallatar, amongst other bands. He currently plays guitar for the Finnish doom metallers The Solitude.
