Despite his attempts at self-deprecation, vocalist and guitarist Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters will probably have to deal with a horde of enraged Swifties due to his recent remarks. This past weekend, competing concerts featuring pop sensation Taylor Swift and Foo Fighters were held in London, England. During his band’s performance at the London Stadium, Grohl took some time to address that from the stage.
I know that we were joking about the Taylor Swift tour earlier. I know that she’s on her ‘Eras Tour‘. I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift. So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour’… We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few f*cking errors as well. Just a couple. That’s because we actually play live. What!? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right f*cking place. Dave Grohl
Violet, Grohl’s own daughter, had previously faced criticism from enraged Swifties for taking private flights. Swift took the time to thank her band and staff for performing live with her for 3.5 hours on June 23 at Wembley Stadium in London, England, seemingly in response to Grohl’s remarks.
What you just did is an unforgettable moment, in not just my life; Every one of my band members, every single one of our crew. My band who’s gonna be playing live for you for 3.5 hours tonight, they deserve this so much. And so does every one of my fellow performers. And you just gave that to us so generously, we will never forget it. Taylor Swift
