Floor Jansen on Nightwish’s next opus: “I would say it’s a pretty heavy album”

After listening to Tuomas Holopainen’s latest revelations, this time it’s Floor Jansen who gives us some hints about Nightwish‘s next work. It was previously mentioned by Mr. Holopainen that the upcoming project will be the final act of a trilogy, which features “Endless Forms Most Beautiful” and “Human. :||: Nature.” as the the first two levels. Once again, science and imagination will be the core of the concept. But what’s about the real sound of this secret LP? Floor answered the question during an interview published by Metal Hammer.

It’s a pretty heavy album. But once again, it’s the multicolor diversity that is Nightwish. It’s all there. It’s going to once again take you by the hand through beautiful stories – whether they are stories from this Earth or stories about this Earth. They’re beautiful.

It’s not much, but it is a clue capable of opening up interesting speculations, especially after that multifaceted and borderline fatigue that was “Human. :||: .Nature”. According to what Tuomas declared, the next Nightwish album will be released tentatively during 2024.
