Devin Townsend drops “Prepare For War” and “The Big Snit” from upcoming album

Canadian prog metal artist Devin Townsend has released “Prepare For War” and “The Big Snit” as a paired single from his upcoming album “The Moth.” Both tracks are now streaming on Spotify and other digital platforms.

The release marks the third preview from “The Moth,” which arrives on May 29, 2026 via InsideOut Music. Earlier singles “Enter The City” and “Home At Night” preceded this latest drop. “Prepare For War” and “The Big Snit” sit as tracks 17 and 18 on the 24-song record.

Devin Townsend has called “The Moth” his life’s work, and the project took shape over more than a decade. He developed the album with the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra and Choir, alongside a lineup that includes Mike Keneally, Anneke van Giersbergen, and Steve Vai.

Townsend will also support the record with a European solo tour titled “Metamorphosis,” running from September through October 2026 across ten countries.
