With the help of a strong lineup that included Fleshgod Apocalypse, Ex Deo, and Kami No Ikari, Swedish black metal veterans Dark Funeral took centre stage on a bone-chilling evening in London at the O2 Academy Islington, which was transformed into a temple of extreme metal. So leave outside your problems, your frustrations, your issues because the darkness is about to reclaim your soul if you don’t headbang hard enough. The historic venue’s walls seemed to pulse with dark energy even before the first note played, setting the stage for what would prove to be an unforgettable display of extreme metal’s finest.
