Masks on a Monday: Mushroomhead in London
Mushroomhead landed at O2 Academy Islington the day after Bloodstock wrapped, and the room was half full because of it. Helgrind opened with a thrash set squeezed into whatever floor space the headliner’s rig had left them, closing on a Ramones cover. Mushroomhead then played seventy minutes deep in their back catalogue, with the technicians wrapping the monitors before a note was played.
