Copenhell 2026: Even hell doesn’t burn this hot – Day 3

Author Billy Llerena - 30.6.2026

Day 3 came with a brutal bonus: the sun showed up and turned Refshaleøen into a frying pan. Copenhagen in June doesn’t mess around and neither did the bands. Defecto opened the day with tight, energetic metal that got the crowd going early despite the already punishing heat. Pustulant Flesh followed with raw, unfiltered brutality. No mercy, no compromise. The undisputed highlight came next: Jakob Stegelmann with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra. Standing on a metal festival stage performing iconic film scores like Superman, Indiana Jones, Mad Max and more felt completely surreal and absolutely magical. The crowd, sweaty and sunburned, stood still for a moment and just listened. Pure goosebumps. P.O.D. brought groove and energy back to full throttle, followed by Imminence delivering melodic power with emotional intensity. All Them Witches slowed things down with heavy, soulful riffs that hit differently under the blazing sky. Soilwork raised the stakes with precision and ferocity, while A Perfect Circle followed with dark, hypnotic intensity. One of the most captivating sets of the entire festival. Neckbreakker and Morild kept the energy high before Gaerea closed the night with suffocating, atmospheric black metal. The perfect dark ending to a day that burned in every sense of the word. Day 3 done. One more to go.
