Bullet For My Valentine are teasing something….

British metalcore group Bullet For My Valentine is targeting a release in early 2027 for their nexteighth studio album, as per theprp. Judging by their online platforms, they are preparing to unveil some material they have been developing in advance. In line with this, the following mysterious post surfaced on their social media today, September 16th.

In 1998, while attending Bridgend College to study music, Matthew Tuck, Michael “Padge” Paget, Nick Crandle, and Michael “Moose” Thomas formed Jeff Killed John, the band that preceded Bullet for My Valentine. They began performing covers of Metallica and Nirvana. “Better Off Alone”, the band’s debut EP, was released in 1999. Greg Haver produced “You/Play with Me”, another two-track EP that they released in 2002. The EP received radio airing on BBC Radio 1’s broadcast at T.J.’s in Newport, and it was funded by the Pynci project for up-and-coming Welsh musicians. Shortly after, the band issued another two-track EP called “Eye Spy”. “Don’t Walk Away”, their second EP, was released in 2003.

This was a promotional CD that was distributed locally in Bridgend and shipped to several record labels. On the eve of the band’s self-titled EP recording sessions, bassist Crandle quit the group. Jason James took his place, and the band soon changed their name to Bullet For My Valentine. Before record labels really started to see their potential, they released their last EP in late 2003. This occurred as a result of their abrupt shift in sound and tactics, which the band says came “directly out of their heads.”

Their EP, which has the same name as them, had five songs; many of these songs were early versions of tracks from “The Poison.” Roadrunner Records wanted to work with Bullet for My Valentine and gave them a contract offer. The offer was rejected, and the band signed a five-album deal with Sony BMG and a UK licensing agreement with Visible Noise. A self-titled EP came out on November 15, 2004, in the UK. Produced by Colin Richardson, the release included five tracks and was the band’s first official music release. A second EP called “Hand of Blood” came out on August 22, 2005, through Trustkill Records and was only sold in the United States.This EP had one more song than the self-titled EP, which was titled “4 Words (To Choke Upon)”.
