Iron Maiden announce 16 final North American Run For Your Lives dates for 2027

Iron Maiden have announced a surprise return to North America in spring 2027, adding 16 shows to their Run For Your Lives Tour. The newly announced concerts will form the third and final North American leg of the band’s 50th-anniversary production, with dates scheduled from April 14 through May 16.

The tour will focus largely on areas that were not included in the band’s previous North American itinerary, particularly the Pacific Northwest and the southeastern United States. The run will conclude with festival headline performances at Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio, on May 14 and Boardwalk Rock in Ocean City, Maryland, on May 16.

Steve Harris explains why Iron Maiden changed their plans

Bassist and founding member Steve Harris explained that the group had originally intended to take a break from live performances in 2027. However, the enthusiastic response to the recent American and Canadian shows persuaded the members to reconsider.

“As many of our fans know, Maiden were planning on taking a break from live performances in 2027, but we’ve been enjoying this last leg in the USA and Canada so much that we all had a chat and decided we should take the show to parts we missed, particularly the North West and South East.”

Harris added that the band also wanted to experience more major American festivals after years of enjoying festival appearances in Europe. The new dates will feature the full Run For Your Lives production, with a setlist concentrating on material from the band’s formative decades.

Bullet For My Valentine and The Raven Age to support

Bullet For My Valentine and The Raven Age will join Iron Maiden as special guests on the tour. Bullet For My Valentine recently announced their upcoming album “Social Apocalypse”, scheduled for March 19, 2027. The Raven Age previously supported Maiden on dates in South and Central America.

Manager Rod Smallwood praised the response to the previous North American leg, noting the large crowds and the multigenerational audience that continues to follow the band. The official Eddie’s Dive Bars will also return, offering fans themed pre-show gathering places during the tour.

According to the announcement, the completed Run For Your Lives Tour will have encompassed 107 concerts in 36 countries and drawn more than three million fans. The band has stressed that the newly announced dates will be the final shows of this particular tour.
