Bauhaus frontman Peter Murphy has released a new solo single, entitled “The Artroom Wonder“. You can listen to the song below:

The song was produced by Killing Joke bassist Youth and features TOOL bassist Justin Chancellor on bass:

“‘The Artroom Wonder’ is an echo from my fourth year at senior school. Daniel Ash and I are listening to the mysterious sixth-year cool intelligentsia that have gathered in the artroom. We have dared to enter their conclave, and the music coming from it was intriguing. We discover that the song being played is ‘The Bewlay Brothers’, highly intelligent, mystical and sensual, with the singer’s voice as seductive as anyone I’d ever heard.”

In November 2024, Peter Murphy and Culture Club frontman Boy George surprised with the release of a duet, entitled “Let The Flowers Grow“, followed by Peter Murphy‘s solo single “Swoon” featuring Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor. While it was clear from the beginning that “Swoon” would be featured on Peter Murphy‘s upcoming 11th studio album “Silver Shade”, it was unclear whether “Let The Flowers Grow” would also be included. Now that the album cover and the album’s tracklist have been revealed, it is confirmed that the duet will indeed be featured on “Silver Shade” which will be released on 9 May 2025 via Metropolis Records. “Silver Shade” will be available “on double vinyl (with color variants), CD, and digital formats”, with a “limited edition silver vinyl exclusive to Bandcamp”, and can be pre-ordered via Peter Murphy‘s Bandcamp page.
