Angine de Poitrine perform new song with mysterious third performer on the first show of their tour

Canadian experimental rock duo Angine de Poitrine surprised fans at the opening night of their latest North American tour by debuting a new song and bringing a mysterious third performer onstage. The unexpected appearance took place at a sold-out concert at History in Toronto on November 5.
The masked musicians Khn and Klek were joined for the new track by another figure dressed in the group’s distinctive polka-dotted style. The guest wore a cube-shaped headpiece and played a triangle during the performance, prompting speculation about whether the act is expanding into a trio.
A new song and a polka-dotted guest
According to reports from the Toronto show, the unidentified performer arrived wearing a costume that matched the group’s surreal aesthetic, complete with an elongated nose and yellow triangular details. The guest struck a triangle before the band launched into a previously unheard, rhythmically energetic song.
The musician returned to the instrument during a featured triangle passage later in the track, adding another unusual element to Angine de Poitrine’s theatrical live presentation.
The song’s title has not been confirmed, and it remains unclear whether the guest will appear at future shows. Although some fan reports have suggested a name for the character, the group has not publicly verified the performer’s identity or announced a permanent lineup change.
Angine de Poitrine continue their North American tour
The Toronto concert marked the start of another North American run for the Quebec act, whose blend of complex rhythms, unusual costumes and experimental rock has attracted a rapidly growing audience.
The new composition follows “Zugzegk”, which the group premiered during a September appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”. The Toronto debut therefore offers another indication that fresh music may be taking shape, although no new release date has been announced.
Following the Toronto performance, Angine de Poitrine are scheduled to play Quebec City on November 6 and Montreal on November 14 before continuing with additional North American dates. The group have also announced an extensive international tour for 2027.
Whether the cube-headed triangle player is a one-night guest or the beginning of a longer-term addition remains to be seen.
