Candelabrum Metal Festival is known for its carefully curated annual lineup, offering something to satisfy all metal fans. While it emphasizes extreme metal, the festival aims to include a variety of subgenres for a diverse lineup—and it always succeeds! This year features the heavy metal nostalgia of RAM, the intense brutality of Bloodbath, the sophisticated black metal of …And Oceans, the haunting serenity of Lifelover, and the energetic presence of The Haunted, just to name a few acts from this year’s program. Candelabrum Metal Festival offers exclusive performances and bands rarely seen elsewhere

One of the most exciting parts of this festival is its yearly dedication to trying out new ideas, providing unique concert experiences. As a result, Candelabrum Metal Festival either books artists rarely on tour, invites bands to perform exclusively in México for this event, or curates special setlists for its headliners. The exclusives of this year’s edition include the almighty Old Man’s Child (no introduction needed for this one), Destruction playing their debut album “Infernal Overkill” (1985) in its entirety, Aura Noir’s special 30^th anniversary set on “Black Thrash Attack” (1996), Loudness celebrating their 45^th anniversary, the unordinary appearances of Ved Buens Ende…, Lifelover, Revenge, and their first live gigs in México of Misþyrming, Spiritus Mortis, LIK, and Mournful Congregation. A great festival to discover hidden gems

Adding some extra detail to the previous point, Candelabrum Metal Festival is also a fantastic event for music enthusiasts. The festival prides itself on showcasing local talent and includes numerous bands from México and other Latin American countries every year. This approach keeps the program well-balanced and encourages attendees to discover prominent acts that might be close to home. Candelabrum Metal Festival presents, for this edition, the heavy metal intensity of Voltax, the dark atmosphere of Necronos, the raw power of Infernal Thorns, and the stoner rock sounds of Vinnum Sabbathi. An easy-going layout

Candelabrum understands that many attendees travel to the festival, including some from abroad, so it prioritizes an easy-to-navigate schedule and venue layout. Held in the Velaria in León, México, the festival happens under a circus-shaped dome that covers the entire venue—an especially useful feature given Mexico’s unpredictable summer weather. Whether it rains heavily or the sun blazes all weekend, attendees remain protected inside the venue. The Velaria is also very spacious, offering ample room to enjoy performances from any angle without feeling overwhelmed by the crowds. Additionally, the festival features only one stage, giving bands equal exposure and facilitating a closer connection with the audience. This setup eliminates the need to rush between stages to see your favorite acts, letting you save energy and footsteps for the moshpit instead.
