Florida metalcore outfit Wage War has returned with a crushing new single titled “Song of the Swamp”, giving fans a first taste of what’s to come from their forthcoming EP “It Calls Me By Name”. The track dropped on February 24, 2026 and is streaming now across platforms.
The new release leans deep into the band’s metalcore roots with dense riffs and intense rhythms that draw inspiration from their home state’s raw landscapes. According to the band, “Song of the Swamp” is rooted in Florida’s swampy terrain and carries a heavy, hostile energy meant to set the tone for the rest of the EP.
Alongside the single, Wage War also shared an official music video that visually ties the song to its swampy theme, placing the band in gritty, atmospheric settings that match the track’s fierce sound.
“It Calls Me By Name”, slated for release in April via Fearless Records and continues the group’s evolution with a collection of songs shaped by the environment and aggression that have influenced their music.
